Sunday Social Community Dance

Hello, we are a collective of dance enthusiasts who run ecstatic dance events in East Kent and at festivals. Our flagship event is a once monthly day time dance at The Aphra Behn Theatre, CT4 5RU near Canterbury, Kent. The dates for our next dances are Sunday October 25th Sunday November 29th Sunday 3rd January 2027 Sunday 31st January 2027 Sunday 28th February 2027 This event is a family friendly space. We offer a short warm up, live dj sets, followed by Sunday lunch. We have had wonderful feedback for our first events. Ecstatic dance is a form of dance inspired by five rhythms, conscious dance and club culture. It is an invitation to drop deeply into connection with the music, your self and the movement. We offer a space to explore, express and dance through your feelings, aches and pains and anxieties. People often find the dances cathartic and feel nourished and renewed afterwards. We wanted to create a family friendly space, because children love this space too, it is a chance to be mindful of each other, celebrate and play.
